Why is physical activity important for early years children?

Being physically active in their early years can be extremely beneficial in a child's growth and development.

Regular physical activity can help:

  • develop motor skills
  • promote healthy weight
  • enhance bone and muscular development
  • development of social skills

The recommended guidelines for physical activity for children aged 0-5 years is 180 minutes a day.
