Bramcote to Bennerley Coach Trip walk

Our next Coach Trip walk will take place on Thursday 18th May 2023.

Entitled 'Bramcote to Bennerley', this will again be a day out with coach travel to the start of the walk at Bramcote Hills and from the finish near to Strelley.

The route will take in the Bramcote Hills, the Nottingham and Erewash canals, the magnificent Bennerley Viaduct, a stop at the Gate Inn in Awsworth before heading to finish at Strelley. There is a wealth of industrial heritage in the area, walk leader Martin will point out features along the way. The walk will also be visiting the area which inspired and featured in the first of DH Lawrence's novels.

The coach trip walks are the only ones we charge for with the cost of £12.50 going towards covering the cost of the coach hire for the day.

The coach will depart from Loughborough Leisure Centre at 08.30am and return at around 5pm.

The total distance of the walk will be around 10miles. The route is largely flat, following the Erewash Valley for a good proportion of the walk, with some gentle undulations at the beginning and towards the end. There will be stops along the way, including a lunch break at Awsworth where a cob can be pre-ordered from the Gate Inn.
